Currently, there are some massive deals on Steam for a Japanese holiday period known as Golden Week! It is a collection of holidays spanning from Monday to Sunday (April 29-May 5 this year), and because of this, many Japanese developers and publishers have elected to place their games on sale! Also, there happen to be a few sales coinciding with Golden Week for other games. So what better time than now to show off some games you should scoop up while they're cheaper.
Starting us off, we have a few surprising sales from companies such as EA on some relatively new games with entries such as Star Wars: Jedi Survivor, Star Wars: Fallen Order, FC24, all the Mass Effect games, the Dead Space Remaster, and much more! Some of the more popular ones I have screenshotted below.
Another big hitter that is having a sale right now is Activision/Blizzard, meaning all of your favourite and modern Call of Duty games are on sale, as well as a personal fav of mine, Sekiro. I personally took advantage of this sale to get a few of my friends Black Ops: Cold War, as I am GOATED at Zombies and wanted to play the Cold War zombies mode with them! Plus, I mean, all of the COD games have stayed at full price regardless of how long they've been out (I'm looking at you, BLOPS 2,3,1), so being able to get this game for $25 rather than $90 is perfect.
Some other companies participating in the sale are Capcom, Bandai Namco, Spike Chunsoft, Sega, Konami, Square Enix, Xbox Game Studios, and quite a bit more.
Some of the deals that stood out to me are below, such as Tekken 8. As you'll see, it has a mostly negative score right now, but that is majorly due to them just releasing a battle pass including characters that have always been staples in the series and customization options, so it's justified, but not to do with gameplay, so fear not.
Another sale that is happening at the same time as Golden Week is the Farm Fest sale, so as you can imagine, Stardew Valley is on sale alongside the brand new game Manor Lord (which is a new city-building type of game).
So, if you're tired of the games you've been playing and are looking for something you have yet to try, now might be the perfect time to save on some major hit games and discover some that you might not have even known existed!
