Best Way To Kill All Hell Divers 2 Terminid Enemies.

Helldivers 2 has been out for about 2 weeks now, and everyone has been loving it when they can actually get into the game, but you may be having a difficult time trying to make your way through the harder difficulties of the game. The enemies that come with the higher difficulties can often make it insanely overwhelming. Especially when you have to face multiple Chargers while getting overrun by enemies that continuously spawn and create what feels like endless hordes is extremely difficult to deal with, but that is what I have come to help with.

One thing that is worth noting is that a few of the enemies are super similar, and if you were to look them up on the Helldivers 2 wiki, they don't get their own listing, but I promise you they are in the game, and I will explain them to you! (These enemies are the spewer, pouncer, hive guard, nursing spewer, armoured spewer, and the charger behemoth).

So, here is the best way to deal with each of the Terminid enemies in Helldivers 2.

Enemies

  • Scavenger

    • These little guys spawn at the first difficulty and don't pose much of a threat.

      • They are weak to both melee and bullets taking anywhere from 1-2 melee attacks and 1-2 bullets.

Scavenger and spewer Helldivers 2

  • Spewer

    • The baby version of a bile spewer spits a small amount of bile at you that mainly slows you, but otherwise is no different than the Scavenger.

      • Weak to bullets and melee.

Warrior Helldivers 2

  • Warrior

    • The warrior also spawns at all difficulties, and they are a bit harder to kill due to their armour but are weak to headshots or any bullets that hit them on their underside.

      • The best weapon to combat them is the Breaker shotgun, as it destroys their weaker armour. (Don't be alarmed if you blow off their head and they still take a final swing)

Hive guard Helldivers 2

  • Hive Guards

    • The hive guard is the evolved version of the Warrior and requires a little more effort to deal with than the others on this list, as they require shots from a medium armor-penetrating weapon.

      • If you plan on attacking from the front. However, if you attack from behind, they die to all weapons. I have noticed that the breaker shotgun is best (what a surprise) to deal with them as its spread allows some bullets to hit their underside. Otherwise, use grenades, stratagems or attack from the back.

  • Hunter

    • These little shiets spawn at all difficulties and will jump side to side and try to dodge your bullets.

      • Although their tactic of jumping around and pouncing at you is annoying, like the Scavenger, they are weak everywhere to bullets.

Hunter and Pouncer helldivers 2

  • Pouncer (hunter variant)

    • These are the bugs you see that look extremely similar to the Hunter but have a yellow coloring rather than orange and are smaller. The only difference between them and the hunter is they will often use their wings and fly to you.

      • They are easy to kill and take one headshot.

Stalker Helldivers 2

  • Stalker

    • The Stalkers begin spawning at the first difficulty and are basically just an evolved Hunter. The only difference being that they camouflage themselves until they are in your face.

      • They are weak to all weapons but take a few extra rounds to kill and will often jump away at low-ish health.

Brood Commander Helldivers 2

  • Brood Commanders

    • This seemingly threatening bug isn't actually all that difficult to kill. Though they are quite large, they are weak to light armour-penetrating rounds and will die to almost anything with one magazine at most.

      • But aim for the head, and you can make quick work of them. These will also charge at you after having their head blown off.

Nursing Spewer Helldivers 2

  • Nursing Spewer

    • Essentially the grown-up version of the spewers, these massive enemies have a giant glowing stomach/sack and will spew a massive stream of bile at you. The nursing spewer is identifiable due to its yellow colouring. Now the trick with these spewers is not the obvious answer, which would be to shoot the giant glowing sack. But this sack actually causes you to deal less damage and soaks an insane amount of bullets (you will waste all of your ammo trying to kill it this way, though it is doable). HOWEVER, these sacks are weak to explosive damage. The Sack takes 10% damage from all sources that are not explosive and is weak to explosive damage.

      • The best way to kill them is to shoot them directly in the head! Using a breaker shotgun or the Railgun stratagem is the most effective. Grenades, the autocannon, and scorcher are good for explosive damage.

Bile Spewer Helldivers 2

  • Bile Spewer

    • Similar to the nursing variant but is identified by its green glowing sack. Their bile stream is way more deadly and will kill you very quickly.

      • Same as the nursing spewer, aim at the head and NOT the glowing sack unless you are using an explosive weapon! Using a breaker shotgun or the Railgun stratagem is the most effective; grenades, autocannon, and scorcher are good for explosive damage.

Armoured Bile Spewer Helldivers 2

  • Armored Bile Spewer

    • They are the same as a normal Bile Spewer, except they are armoured on their face and top side. These guys are easy to identify as they often hang back and fire mortar shots at you.

      • Although their face is armoured, you will still want to aim for their head as it will kill them much faster than aiming anywhere else will. Using a breaker shotgun or the Railgun stratagem is the most effective. However, a medium armour-penetrating weapon would be better than a shotgun. Grenades, autocannon, and scorcher are good for explosive damage.

Charger Helldivers 2

  • Charger

    • These enemies are a total pain and are super tanky. The charger, as the name suggests, will charge directly at you, making it difficult to get effective shots off consistently. Similarly to the bile spewers, the chargers have an orangey-yellow glowing bulb that you would think is their weak spot but is not; it actually takes only 10% damage. However, it is weak to explosive damage. Basically making all other attacks there useless.

      • Their legs are actually the weak spot, shoot the armour off of their legs and then just a few more rounds and they will die. The best way to do so is to use the railgun to delete the armour and then shoot a few bullets into the armour-less leg.

Charger Behemoth Helldivers 2

  • Charger Behemoth

    • These are an absolute nightmare to deal with; the only difference between the behemoth and the normal charger is that their armour is much thicker, thus making them much tankier. You can spot them by looking at the bigger armour on their legs, the massive horns on their face, and their mammoth tusks.

      • The best way to kill it is the same as the normal charger just tack on an extra railgun shot or two and some extra ammo from your gun.

Bile titan helldivers 2

  • Bile Titan

    • The largest of all the Terminids, yet somehow the Charger, in most people's opinion, is still way worse to encounter. These giant spider-like creatures spew bile attacks at you.

      • There are a few ways to deal with the Titan.

        • You can shoot its underside doing some decent damage and preventing it from using its bile attack.

        • You can use heavy weapons like the Railgun, Recoilless rifle, or stratagem airstrikes, orbitals etc., aiming for its head as attacks to the head will stun it.

        • The final way is to die, and when you come back, drop your hellpod right onto it.

Best Weapons and Stratagems for Terminids

Breaker Helldivers 2

Weapons

  • Breaker shotgun

    • Best primary in the game, has high damage, surprisingly good range, and penetrates armor.

  • Liberator

    • The starting assault rifle is super useful in almost every scenario and is more than capable of killing off the hordes you will face.

  • Diligence Counter Sniper

    • An extremely lethal sniper that can allow you to deal with some of the larger enemies more easily.

  • Redeemer Pistol

    • This Uzi-like secondary weapon mows down the hordes and is extremely beneficial to take when you have a sniper or shotgun as your primary. Capable of taking out a Brood commander in less than a full clip.

  • Incendiary Breaker

    • This Breaker variant lights the bugs on fire and is extremely useful specifically against the bugs. Think of it like you would the flamethrower.

  • High explosive grenade

    • It may be your starting grenade, but it has good armour penetration and high damage.

Stratagems

Railgun Helldivers 2

  • Railgun

    • I don't think there is a person out there who would debate the Railgun being the best weapon in the game; it destroys armour like it's nothing, has a good amount of ammo, and can be put into unsafe mode to further its killing potential. Perfect for dealing with the Bile Titan, the Chargers, and the Bile Spewers.

  • Stalwart

    • This machine gun has a massive clip and allows you to effectively mow down entire hordes of bugs with a decently quick reload. Surprisingly good damage to boot.

  • Guard Dog Rover or Machine Gun Rover

    • This little backpack buddy follows you around, and either uses a laser or a Liberator to mow down enemies. Super helpful for dealing with less tanky enemies while you duke it out with the big guys. The main difference between the two types is that the laser doesn't need ammo but has less damage; the machine gun uses your supply of primary ammo to reload but has more damage. So both are excellent choices.

  • Anti-Personnel Minefield

    • This stratagem sets out a bunch of mines that wipe out the bugs and allies... So make sure you at least warn them.

  • Eagle 500KG bomb

    • This nuke-like bomb is the best boss killer, but you need to be proficient with it if you do not aim it properly, it can be useless against things such as the Bile Titan.

  • Shield Generator Pack

    • This stratagem is perfect when you decide that you want to take light armour and outrun most of the Terminids while also blocking many projectiles.

  • Auto-cannon Sentry

    • Has excellent range and can help you take down the biggest enemies; you just need to make sure you protect it.
