Worlds 2023 Champion T1 Selects Worlds Skin Champions

T1 members holding up the Worlds trophy

The triumph of T1 at this year's League of Legends World Championship was not one many suspected, with Faker having a wrist injury during the summer split and losing the splits' finals to GenG. Yet, they performed at the highest level and took down some of the most impressive teams that we have seen in quite some time. With this victory comes the opportunity to create a skin for one of the most iconic League of Legends skinlines. The commemorative Worlds Skins.

The Champions

  • Zeus (Top Lane): Jayce + Prestige Edition

  • We all know that Zeus loves to play Jayce and is far and above one of the best Jayce players in the world, so this comes as no surprise! With winning Finals MVP, Zeus also receives the Prestige skin for this year's worlds.

  • Oner (Jungle): Lee Sin

  • Oner's pick of Lee Sin also comes as no surprise, as it is his go-to pick and has become synonymous with him.

  • Faker (Mid Lane): Orianna

    • A legend in his own right, Faker originally opted for the Ahri that everyone wanted. However, as the picks have been announced, it seems as though Faker has swapped to Orianna! To be fair, Ahri does already have a lot of skins, but no T1 skin. I guess we all have to wait till Faker wins his 5th trophy

Champions from League of Legends, Jayce, Lee Sin, Orianna, Jinx, and Renata

  • Gumayusi (Bot Lane): Jinx

  • Gumayusi’s selection of Jinx is also one that rings true to himself as he often played the champ during the spring and summer splits in the LCK, and it does happen to be one of his favourite champions.

  • Keria (Support): Renata

  • Finally, we have the man who couldn't receive his Lux skin. Initially hoping to choose Lux, which he was unable to, Keria put up a poll on Instagram, which ended up with Bard being the top choice. Keria did play amazingly on Bard and had one of the most insane Bard Q's I have ever seen. Keria, like Faker, switched up his champ choice at the last minute, opting to have his skin be for Renata Glasc.

It is generally a 6-8 month window before we see these skins, and with no official announcement from Riot, we will have to wait and see how these skins will be designed. But if they're as nice as the DRX 2022 world champion skins, they'll be more than worth the wait.
